The
utilization of the DVS Data
Visualization Software requires a
platform to run and display the
software. This platform consists
of the Personal Computer (PC), which
provides the hardware, the basic
software and the monitor to display the
DVS. The PC features are exactly
suited to the requirements of the
software used.
the PC,
using a DDE Server Software via a PC
LonTalk® Adapter
accesses the data from the LON Network.
The data is then processed by the DVS
and stored on the hard drive. The
information (Status, Alarms,
Concentration Values, Settings, etc.) is
also orderly displayed on the monitor.
Two
parallel ports allow the printout of
continuous alarm lists and other
printouts like 8 hour reports without
interrupting the alarm list.
The PC
features a CD Writer to save important
data (i.e. 8 hour reports) to a CD.
Additionally the preinstalled software
Symantec Ghost® allows
the easy creation of disk images.
If necessary the disk image makes quick
data restoring possible. For
safety requirements the PC is equipped
with the McAfee® Anti
Virus program. The Microsoft
Office® Basic installation
includes Word, Excel® and
Outlook®.
