X-tended Detection Capabilities for
Enhanced Flexibility
MST's XT Series is a
product generation designed to meet different gas
detection and life safety requirements. The
modular setup of the XT Series allows users to easily
change from point of use to extractive detection.
The Satellite XT is an
intelligent gas detection transmitter which utilizes a
unique electrochemical sensor to detect toxic,
corrosive, and combustible gas. Gas concentration
and alarm information are both displayed locally at the
Satellite XT, as well as distributed onto the Life
Safety LonWorks® Network for use by
other field devices. The Satellite XT can be used
as a "Point-of-Use" monitor normally located at or near
a potential source of a gas release. The Satellite
XT is the basic unit of the XT Series.
The Extractive Module XT is
the ideal component that allows sampling in various
environments including in-situ duct detection and in
harsh remote areas. Its primary function is the
transportation for gas samples from the monitored point
to the sensor. Typical installations for gas
detection sampling include gas cabinet exhaust ducting,
valve manifold boxes, equipment enclosures and under
waffle slabs.
The Pyrolyzer Module XT completes the XT Series for the
detection of fluorinated and chlorinated chemicals that
are not directly detectable with electrochemical
sensors. The central component of the Pyrolyzer
Module XT is the pyrolyzer itself for conversion of the
gases to mineral acids, which are easily detected.
